AVAILABLE POSITIONS FOR FALL 2020 ISSUE: "START SOMEWHERE" (UNPAID)

-Co-Editor: Co-editors work with proofreading both the magazine and blog. We check for continuity in content and make sure that everything flows and is "on brand" for the magazine. We accept submissions and make sure to showcase the submissions in nothing but a diverse and empowering light. Responsibilities would be to monitor the Google Form where all submissions are located and make sure each one is checked thoroughly and not forgotten. Sharing thoughts on the general flow of the submissions and determining the placement of the submissions based on the theme. Our main focus would be to proofread multiple times to ensure grammatical correctness and professionalism of the blog and printed version.

-Social Media Manager: Schedules posts for at least once a day. Reaches out to skating accounts and interacting with them, raising awareness about not only the magazine but WOC and non-binary skate culture in general and the Black Lives Matter movement. Creating graphics in Canva. I don't use Twitter, so Instagram would be the only platform for now to use.

-Secretary: A paperwork based position that requires mostly working in Google Docs. Creating spreadsheets for team meeting minutes (once the team is built), sending out weekly newsletters to email subscribers, emailing back submitters, and letting them know if we accepted their work or decided if it wouldn't best fit in the magazine.

-Creative Director:
The meat and potatoes for the print version (and the online version depending on how many visual art submissions we receive)! The Creative Director would almost have full control of the layout, design, feel, and presentation of the book. The cover design would be the most important aspect of this position. Of course, I would approve everything. However, I am not as skilled as where I would like to be in programs like Adobe InDesign, so this is a very big job. The Creative Director will have to create various layouts for each section (which I'm starting to form now) so that there is a distinction between each submission.

-"Event Planner":
This is a position for down the line. It would just be helping coordinate group Zoom calls, Instagram Lives, etc by creating a schedule, gathering attendees, and confirming attendance through Event Brite. All events are free for now, and will strictly be online!

A COVER ARTIST IS HIGHLY NEEDED FOR PRINT ISSUE!
